Felicia McFall holds a M.M from U.S.I.U. with transferred units from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and a B.M. from the New School of Music in Philadelphia with transferred units from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has continued graduate studies at the University of Washington and the Banff Centre of the Arts. This Summer, Felicia become one of the few violin teachers in Sonoma County to be Certified by the Suzuki Association of the Americas.
Her teaching experiences include being strings teacher at the Seattle Waldorf School, the Northwest School for the Arts, Marrowstone (at Port Townsend, Washington) , Santa Rosa Junior College, Green Farm (with the Santa Rosa Symphony educational outreach program), Strawberry Elementary School and the River Oak Charter School in Ukiah. Her Performance experience ranges from playing with Rod Stewart , Kenny G, and others to the occasional concert with the Santa Rosa Symphony and the Jubilate baroque orchestra.
Ms. McFall founded the Skyflower Ensemble which is dedicated to historically informed performances on authentically crafted instruments. enjoying the full spectrum of music Ms. McFall enjoys keeping her students inspired and motivated while at the same time developing musical skills .
Ms. McFall"s approach to the violin form is comfort and strength utilizing ideas from Suzuki, Feldenkrais, the teachers from her past.
